Spartacus War of the Damned Episode 2 Starz with a promise of blood, battle, and ripped gladiators-turned-soldiers. While you may never get the chance to suit up, draw steel, and storm Rome, you can trade daggers for dumbbells and wage war on fat. You can transform yourself into a modern-day hero. In short, you can train like Spartacus to look like Spartacus. We’ve got the details. If the trailer for Spartacus: War of the Damned is any indication, then Starz’ sword-swinging series is about to go out on a rousing, skull-cracking high-note, as the third (not counting a prequel miniseries) and final season prepares to cause a ruckus with 20 all new episodes set to premiere in late January.
Spartacus War of The Damned episode 2 Taking creator and executive producer Stephen S. DeKnights words to heart, War of the Damned clearly wants to be the biggest, most insanely epic season we’ve ever had. The trailer does a great job of illustrating the larger scope of the season, and its ramifications for Spartacus Liam McIntyre and his band of merry gladiators: Crixus Manu Bennett, Gannicus Dustin Clare and Agron Dan Feuerriegel. At any rate, with nothing left to lose, DeKnight and his crew certainly don’t appear to Spartacus War of the Damned Episode 2 be holding anything back, as the action has shifted from the gladiatorial arenas of Blood & Sand, to the guerrilla tactics of Vengeance, and now we see the rebels have amassed a force large enough to engage in a full on war with the Roman army.Perhaps looking at the series as a single story arc better explains why Starz felt this would be the best time to end Spartacus –
Spartacus War of the Damned Episode 2 on what would essentially be it’s third act. Certainly, each season appears to be raising the bar in terms of the scale of its storytelling, and the events of Vengeance do serve to set up the climactic (albeit compressed) end to a rather epic tale.

Starz sums up the final season with this synopsis:
War of the Damned takes place following the defeat of Roman commander Gaius Claudius Glaber. Spartacus and his men have amassed major victories against the Romans after the Battle of Vesuvius. These victories have not only forged the legend of Spartacus, but have greatly increased the ranks Spartacus War of the Damned Episode 2 of the rebellion slaves to more than 30,000. Rome is indeed beginning to tremble at the threat Spartacus now represents.
Spartacus War of the Damned Episode 2 While Rome has always stood as the collective “villain” of the series, one of the most remarkable things DeKnight and his writers have managed to do in previous seasons is craft a compelling storyline around the actual men and women who represent Rome, often making them as interesting and fully realized as the heroes. Last season, Craig Parker’s Claudius Glaber had the unenviable task of trying to fill the void left behind by John Hannah’s Batiatus, and with the help of memorable turns from Lucy Lawless and Viva Bianca, the character of Glaber and his many personal and professional problems became a gripping addition to Spartacus’ quest for vengeance (hence the title of season 2). Now, in War of the Damned, DeKnight and his heroes are facing off against Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells) and a young Julius Caesar (Todd Lasance), who look to be a pair of welcome late additions to the pantheon of rich villainy on Spartacus.
Needless to say, many – including Spartacus War of the Damned Episode 2 series executive producer Stephen S. DeKnight – were taken a little off guard by the network’s announcement that War of the Damned would be the final season for the increasingly well-regarded series and flagship title in the Starz line-up of original programming. And while there are rumors of a Julius Caesar spin-off series, and DeKnight is currently working on a sci-fi program for the network titled Incursion, it’ll be sad to see the series go. But judging from this trailer alone, the series has no plans to go quietly.

Spartacus: War of the Damned is the final season in the acclaimed Starz TV series Spartacus.
With Glaber dead Spartacus and his army of rebels, now amounting to thousands, has become a force to be reckoned with. Determined to bring down the Roman Republic Spartacus leads his mass of freed slaves into a full out war. Rome’s only hope is Marcus Crassus who, aided by young Julius Caesar, will do his might to crush Spartacus and his rebellion.
Wolves At The Gate
Spartacus leads a daring assault to provide food and shelter for his people. Crassus builds a fearsome army and receives an unexpected visitor.
Returning for its final season, Spartacus War of the Damned Episode 2 Spartacus has learnt a strong lesson from last year’s opener: slow and steady might win the race, but it’s more fun to burn up the tyres. Leaping ahead some time, we find Spartacus, Crixus, Gannicus and Agron now more successful than ever, leading a literal army of slaves and growing ever-more confident in their righteousness. A fact illustrated by the opening battle sequence, which mostly involves Romans getting their faces smashed in with their own Eagle emblems. Nice job.
With pretty much every bad guy we ever knew getting killed at the end of last season, Spartacus: War of the Damned clearly has a lot of ground to cover with regards to setting up an antagonist. It’s with great interest, then, that we observe the careful and deliberate building of Crassus. Last season, Glaber took weeks to become interesting. Here, Crassus goes from faceless to formidable in the space of one episode.
As well as being a family man, with a pair of sons on the cusp of adulthood (whose nascent rivalry is sure to come into play sooner rather than later…) Crassus is also wily, fanatical, principled and skilled – the dark mirror of Spartacus. He puts his life on the line just to test himself, and when he kills his slave, he gives him a goodbye worthy of the closest family members. Crassus is complex, yet focussed, which sets him apart from both Batiatus and Glaber, both of whom were petty and emotional, and ultimately vulnerable to manipulation.
Before Spartacus can face Crassus, though, he has to kill off two more immediate threats: local generals Cossinius and Furius. It’s a sign of the show’s slicker-than-ever storytelling that these two men, who we’ve barely seen, stand as a credible threat even as Spartacus takes his best men to kill them. In the end, the fight is something of a victory lap, the twist being that Crassus had engineered their deaths at the cost of a clutch of his own men. Brutal. Absolutely brutal.
